This training is imperative for securing better outcomes for children, young people and their families.
Common Assessment Framework (CAF)
Training for 2013
In your workplace of today you may:
- See something;
- Hear something;
- Notice something.
Everyone needs to feel that they can act in the child's best interest and in line with the responsibilities of their job. Do you know How and When to respond?
Safeguarding and protecting children is everybody's business. Children rely on the care and protection of adults in the community to keep them safe. You are expected to be ready and well enough informed to know how to act to help keep a child safe.
CAF Course A: Half-day Workshop

- Monday 2 December.

For booking details, please contact CAF admin on 0161 253 6862 or refer to the 'Contact Us' information on this page.
There is a maximum of 35 participants per session.
Failure to turn up without providing 48 hours notice will attract a £50 charge.
Course B: 2½ Hour Workshop
Where there are insufficient numbers to deliver Course A, Course B will be delivered instead as it is geared towards smaller groups.
This, however, is an edited version of both the half-day CAF and Chairing/Lead Person courses and this may be repetitive if you have previously attended either of these courses. The course does not include any group work activities and, as such, for some this may present gaps in preferred learning styles.
Course B can also be delivered to single agency teams or cluster groups. To request this please contact Andrea Whyne, Early Intervention Team Manager, on 0161 253 7955 or by email to the Early Intervention Service.
There is a minimum of 10 participants per session.
