What does an ESOL course involve? ESOL courses cover:
- speaking and listening
- reading and writing
- vocabulary
- punctuation and grammar
Bury Adult Learning Service offers ESOL classes at all levels from Entry 1 (beginners) to Level 2 (advanced), so you'll be able to start at the right level for you. In addition we have a mixed level women only class.
Classes are available in the daytime and the evening and are held at Bury Adult Learning Centre. The cost of our classes ranges from £215 for 68 hours teaching to £725 for 272 hours of teaching.
Learners work towards recognised ESOL Skills for Life examinations.
Classes contain citizenship materials. Students below Entry 3 who wish to apply for citizenship can take a recognised qualification at the end of their course. The exam certificate, plus a letter from the Adult Centre can be submitted to the Home Office to support their application.
