CareLink/Telecare

A 24 hour emergency monitoring system can help older and vulnerable people to remain living independently and safely in their own homes. It can be used for people who have a medical condition and can offer security and peace of mind.

Community Meals

This service is for people aged 18 and over, normally older people, who are unable to prepare and cook one hot meal a day. This may be a permanent situation due to sight loss, a physical or learning disability, illness or a temporary situation such as recovering after a stay in hospital, to help you maintain your independence and quality of life.

Support to live at home

Support at Home is available for residents of Bury who are over 60 and need a little support so that they can continue to live in their own homes. It is also available for people under 60 who have  a disability or high support need.

Affordable Warmth

The Energy Team at Bury Council can provide information, ideas and examples of ways that you can make your home more comfortable to live in, reduce the amount of energy you use and save money. The Energy Team can give advice on grants, schemes and special offers to help you finance energy efficiency measures in your home.

Dementia Advisors

Dementia Advisors enable easy access to care, support and advice following diagnosis. The 'hub' is based with the multi-disciplinary older people's mental health team in the centre of town in Parsons Lane.
