Bury Safeguarding Children Board ensures that agencies are protecting children from harm and safeguarding their well-being. Bury Safeguarding Children Board (BSCB) is the forum for agreeing how services, agencies, organisations and the community safeguard children and improve their wellbeing.
The unit provides a library & information service plus a wide range of resources to people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or partially sighted, and to their families and professionals working on their behalf. Support is provided for individuals to enable them to access education, information and leisure resources.
Short Term Care is when support is temporarily provided to individuals who live at home alone or with relatives or someone else who cares for them. Its main purpose is to provide a break both for the carer and the person who is being cared for. Short Term Care can also be used for a period of recovery following a health episode or for the purpose of re-assessment of the individual's abilities both day and night.
