Football pitch hire

Football pitches can be hired in two different ways:

  • on a seasonal basis; and
  • for one-off games.

Council-managed pitches

Seasonal bookings

Application forms and standard letters (which include all fees and charges for the forthcoming season) are sent out annually, usually at the end of May or alternatively apply on line. Please use the link on the right-hand side of this web page.

Two locations (Elms Playing Fields and Victoria Park) are managed by our Parks and Countryside Service and the remainder of outdoor grassed pitches are managed by various sports clubs under self-management agreements.

Application forms from either previous or new clients are to be returned by the last Friday in June.

Pitches are allocated in early July for each available time slot (Saturday am/pm and Sunday am/pm).

An acceptance form is sent out to each club indicating the 'Conditions of Hire', which must be signed by a representative of the club and returned to the Parks and Countryside service by the first Friday in August.
