Meet the Ranger

Ian Rogers, Ranger, based at Clarence Park

(Clarence Park and lido, Hoyles Park, Chesham Woods, Walkers Field, Gypsy Brook)

Ian is originally from Oldham in Lancashire. After studying for a Human Ecology degree from Huddersfield University he travelled around Australia. He has worked as a countryside ranger in Oldham and was a volunteer for many years, he also worked as a gardener and school groundsman.

"I have always been an outdoor person and fascinated by the world around me and I hope my enthusiasm for the environment will encourage others to treasure and care for what they've got."

Ian enjoys going to new places and meeting new people.
