Parental views

Your views count

You know your child and you should make your views known. Remember if you haven't seen any reports written by professionals about your child then ask.

Talk to your child if they are old enough. Make sure that their feelings are taken into account. The school also needs to ask for the child's views. It is important that your child is consulted.

At this stage you will have an opportunity to make your views known in writing. Remember your child's view may not be the same as yours.

You should take advantage of this opportunity. You can contact the local authority or speak to Parent Partnership Bury who can give you information and advice. Remember you have 29 days to get all the information you need. Make a decision then.
