Childcare sufficiency - consultation

Experienced field workers conducted parental street surveys in each of the wards in Bury (in local and neighbourhood shopping centres).

The research also included a number of parental workshops across Bury to give parents the opportunity to discuss their opinions. This captured valuable views from Foster Carers/Black, Minority and Ethnic Communities/Migrant Workers/Traveller Communities/Stay at Home Parents/Lone Parents and Parents of Children with disabilities etc.

The consultation took place across Bury from January 2009 - February 2009.

All information gathered for the survey will be treated as confidential in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

If you have any questions about the consultation or the reports please contact the Research and Information Officer on 0161 253 7429.

If you would like to inform us of any difficulties you have had in finding local childcare or would like help with finding suitable childcare to meet you needs please contact the Family Information Service from the 'contact us' area to the right.
