Complaints about schools

All schools are required to have their own procedure for handling complaints. Most of our schools have adopted a model Local Authority policy which they have adapted to their own needs. If you have a concern or query relating to a particular school, you should contact them directly for a copy of their own procedure. Contact us if you need further information. DO it online by choosing the "Contact Education and Learning online" in contact us section (top right of this page) and complete the "Request information" form.. The benefit of this method is that you will have a record of the query you have made and the service that you have made it to.

The Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) have also provided guidance to parents about how to complain about schools (see Offsite Links box).
