I don't know when my collection day is, what should I do?
Visit out website and enter your postcode and house number to find out your collection day and collection dates for the next three months. To do this now see 'Bin collection days and dates' under related pages in the right-hand navigation.
I think my collection has been missed. What should I do?
If you put your bins out before 7am and it isn't emptied by 4.30pm, let us know before 1pm the next working day.
How can I find out if my collection has been delayed or cancelled?
If we need to delay or cancel your collection because of severe weather conditions or other circumstances that we can't control we will put information on our website.
Do I need to put my bin out even when it isn't full?
No. If your bin is less than half full and you think it can wait until your next collection, you don't need to put it out.
Should I put my house number on my bin
Yes. You should have received four stickers with your new collection calendar. Please use a permanent marker pen to write your house number on these stickers and put one sticker on each of your bins. Putting your house number on your bin will help you know which bin is yours and help prevent it from being stolen.
What should I do if I have difficulty moving my bins?
If you are physically or otherwise unable to take your blue bin to the kerbside yourself and there isn't anyone else in your household that can do this for you, you can request an assisted collection. Please contact us to request this service - see 'Contact us' in the right-hand navigation.
Do collections take place on Good Friday?
Yes. Collections take place as usual on Good Friday.
What will happen to collections over the Christmas and New Year period?
What happens to collections over Christmas and New Year depends on which day of the week Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on. We will let you know if there are any changes to collections or not when we give you a new collection calendar during December. We will also put information on our web site on our 'Bin collection days and dates' web page.
