Reading groups in Bury libraries

Are you looking for new reading ideas, or are you longing to tell other people about the books you enjoy? Then expand your reading pleasure by joining one of our reading groups. It's a great way to meet other avid readers and discover authors you might not have thought of trying. The monthly meetings, which last about an hour, are very informal and relaxed. We provide a meeting place, sets of books (chosen from suggestions made by group members), refreshments and a staff member as your host. The rest is up to the group.

Brandlesholme Community Centre and Library,

2 - 3 pm every second Tuesday of each month,

Bury Central Library 

1 - 2 pm on the second Friday of each month

Prestwich Library and Adult Learning Centre

7.30 - 8.30 pm on the second Thursday of each month
7.30 - 8.30 pm on the 1st Monday in the month.

Radcliffe Library 

3rd Monday of each month 6.30-7.30 pm
3rd Tuesday of each month 2.00 pm

Ramsbottom Library and Adult Learning Centre 

Though visually impaired readers are catered for by all our groups the Ramsbottom Monday group offers a special welcome, with all books chosen available on tape or CD
2.30 - 3.30 pm on the first Friday of each month
6 - 7 pm on the last Monday of each month
5.45 - 6.45 pm on the second Tuesday of each month.

Tottington Library

6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month.
4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tottington Teens on the second Tuesday of each month, term time only.

Unsworth Library 

2 - 3 pm on the third Tuesday of each month

Whitefield Library and Adult Learning Centre

7 - 8 pm on the third Monday of each month 
A group exclusively for visually impaired readers. All titles are supplied on cassette or in large print.
2 - 3 pm on the fourth Monday of each month
