Who can use these services?

Adult Care Services use a 'fair access to services' process when deciding whether they are able to help each person that applies. This process looks at the level of need of each person, and services are provided to people based on their individual care needs. Priority will be given to those people who need care the most. More information about the eligibility criteria can be found in our 'Fair Access to Services' leaflet. If you do not meet the criteria for certain services, you will be offered other helpful advice and information.

How are we doing?

Adult Care Services have published a document called 'The local account'. This replaces annual assessments of council social care services by the Care Quality Commission. The idea is that local people, service users and providers can use the information in the local account to judge our performance.

This local account covers our performance during April 2010-March 2011. It explains what we have done well and highlights areas for further action and includes performance information we collect and monitor to make sure our services are doing well.

Please click the link on the right to view the Local Account. We have also provided you with an opportunity to feed back on the Local Account by clicking on the survey link on the right. If you require either of these documents in an alternative format, please contact adultcarecomms@bury.gov.uk
