Description of service:

Ramsbottom Library lends books, videos, DVD's and talking books for adults. The library is also a designated Children's Centre. Please contact Paula Cockroft, Children's Centre co-ordinator on 0161 253 7343 for further details. Regular sessions held :- Reading Group- Mon ,Tues and Fri, groups meet 6pm to 7pm. Also Friday afternoon group meets 2.30pm to 3.30pm. No meeting in December. Very lively discussions. Monday evening- visually impaired group- book always available in audio. Second Tuesday each month 6pm to 7pm and first Friday of each month 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Family history surgeries- Drop In 1pm-5pm third Mon of the month By Appointment only 5:30pm-7pmThur after the third Mon of the month Craft Group (Busy hands, busy tongues) on the 2nd Friday of each month 1-3pm, which is aimed at knitters, embroiderers, cross stitchers etc (various crafts, so that people can share their love of their hobby). Carers Group - Third Monday in the month Library opening times:- Monday 9.30am to 7.30pm, Tuesday 9.30am to 7.30pm, Thursday 9.30am to 7.30pm, Friday 9.30am to 7.30pm, Saturday 9.30am to 1pm Holiday activities are held in all main libraries during the summer break and selected libraries at half term, Easter and Christmas holidays.
