Could you get hands-on with Bury in Bloom? To help keep Bury blooming we need more willing volunteers to help out with a range of activities.  Could you help plant-up a horticultural display? Could you help with watering or weeding? Could you help with litter picking? We have many activities suitable for volunteers and we also welcome suggestions from individuals and groups. Bury Ranger Service (part of Bury Council) are always on the lookout for volunteers of all ages to help look after Bury's parks and countryside. Volunteer rangers are recruited to work on a wide range of tasks ranging from minor green space improvements to organising events. Phone 0161 253 6923 to find out what might suit you.   

BTCV work with thousands of volunteers a year up and down the country at lots of different sites so there is the chance to go to a variety of locations. Phone 0161 796 6404 to find out about trying a variety tasks from tree planting to dry stone walling, footpath construction to creating wildlife habitats. 

Sustrans work with many partners to develop and look after cycle routes and as a volunteer you become a  part of this team. Sustrans rangers help to look after and promote a section of the National Cycle Network near to their home and so encourage more people to walk and cycle.
