Payments can be made free of charge at any Post Office or PayPoint outlet with details of your payment being available to the council the following day. Payments can be made for the following:

  • Council Tax - using the bar code printed on the bottom of the bill.
  • Business rates - using the bar code printed on the bottom of the bill.
  • Invoices - using the bar code printed on the bottom of the invoice.
  • Housing rent - using a Post Office payment card which can be obtained from Housing Services - please contact Six Town Housing.
  • Housing Benefit overpayment - using the bar code printed on the bottom of the invoice.

What is PayPoint?

Paypoint are a payment collection network available in retail outlets including Co-op stores, Londis, Costcutters, Spar, Texaco and many local newsagents and grocers.

There are 20,000 PayPoint outlets in the UK, with around 100 within the borough, many opening evenings and weekends.
