Park volunteers
Volunteers play an extremely important role in maintaining the standards of our parks and countryside sites. It is a great way to get active and learn new skills, as well as helping with tasks like:
- Hands on maintenance
- Improvement work
- Gardening and gardening clubs
- Litter picking
- Leading walks
- Help organising and running events
The role of volunteer is open to a wide range of ages. Experience isn't necessary as volunteers will have an induction and receive training.
Friends of Parks groups
Some of our parks have friends groups that support the park by getting involved in:
- Future plans
- Improvements
- Events
- Fundraising
- Solving problems
