The business community of Ramsbottom formed Ramsbottom Business Group (established in 2007). The aims of the group are to bring together the business community, raise the profile of Ramsbottom and promote the wide range of shops/services on offer, including a programme of events/promotional activities.

Sitting on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, against the backdrop of Holcombe Hill, Ramsbottom is a thriving market town in spectacular surroundings.
Just 14 miles north of Manchester with great transport links, including the East Lancashire Steam Railway, the town is proving to be a great place to live and visit.
The town is rapidly gaining a reputation for design orientated shopping and the list of independent retailers continues to grow. Ramsbottom is also well stocked with places to eat and drink and is truly on the foodie map featuring award winning restaurants and eateries.
There are many annual events which make Ramsbottom a special tourist destination, including: The annual Chocolate Festival (weekend before Easter), East Lancashire Steam Railway War Weekends (May and September), World Black Pudding Throwing Championships (September) and Ramsbottom @ Christmas (3 weekends of festive entertainment and specialist markets throughout December) to name but a few.
