JETTS Quality Bus Corridors

In 2002, a study was undertaken for the Government Office North West called M60 JETTS.  It looked at the areas surrounding Junctions Eighteen To Twelve of the M60 (the sections that links the two parts of the M62 together) and identified the issues that cause transport problems across the northern parts of Greater Manchester.  The study recommended a number of ways to improve journeys for all travellers, including public transport users, pedestrians, cyclists and car users.   One of the key recommendations of the study was the introduction of quality bus corridors.

Nine routes have been proposed in the north of Greater Manchester and consultation on each area will be carried out separately over the next few months.  The aim of the consultation is to understand local issues and priorities for improvement.
