Paving stone theft

If you witness paving stone theft, do not confront the persons involved, contact the Police on 0161 872 5050.

The Police will need you to give as much detail as possible including:

  • Details of vehicles involved.
  • Approximate amount of pavement stones taken.
  • Correct address/location of theft.
  • Your name and contact details.

What happens to the footways when the flags have been stolen?
The Council will make the area safe if the street is adopted and maintainable by the Council. If the street is private, any repairs will be the responsibility of the landowner or leaseholder.
