Introduction
Publicity Campaigns are held regularly to raise awareness of various Road Safety issues.
The Road Safety Unit promotes these issues through schools, businesses and the community.
Officers support National Road Safety Campaigns like - "Don't Drink and Drive" and "Kill Your Speed" by distributing posters and literature through various organisations in the district. Local campaigns are either developed by the Unit or requested by the local communities. Publicity campaigns are the best way to get safety messages to the public at large.
Generally speaking the Units aim is to encourage better behaviour on the roads throughout the Bury Metropolitan Borough.
