Although the Road Safety Unit staff at Bury Metro do not directly teach pre-school children, we maintain regular contact with Play Groups and Nursery Schools and parental advice is also available.
We are pleased to supply free Road Safety resources including, Stop-Look-Listen-Think stickers and posters, colouring sheets, teacher packs and in-car safety information.
We also have available for loan a zebra crossing set and pelican crossing to assist in the teaching of basic pedestrian skills through role-play and to help children become aware of the dangers of traffic in their environment at an early age.
