Bury Division covers 99 sq km. bordering Bolton, Salford, North Manchester, Rochdale and Lancashire and looks after a population of 181,000.
There are six areas in total covering Bury, Ramsbottom, Tottington, Radclife, Whitefield and Prestwich.
There are local police stations situated across the borough at:

- Whitefield Police Station, Bury New Road, Whitefield, M25 6GF
- Radcliffe Police Station, Railway Street, Radcliffe, M25 3AA
- Ramsbottom Police Station, Bridge Street, Ramsbottom, BL0 9AB

The course offers a BTEC in Public Services accredited by Bury College, the Silver Award Sections of the Duke of Edinburgh Award and 200 hours Award for the Millennium Volunteers. The course runs from 7 - 9pm 1 night per week for 40 weeks at Bury Police Station.
