More information
How does it work?
Sign up for BRAG and you will receive your personal BRAG pack. This contains your BRAG pass, full details of all the BRAG Stations taking part - plus a Free Bus Pass so you can visit as many as you want.
Pick the Stations you want to visit and then plan your BRAG Schedule to get the most out of your time. On completing an activity your BRAG programme will be stamped. It is as simple as that - or is it?
Planning your schedule and getting to the Stations on time is an important part of the BRAG challenge. For some of the activities you'll have to book a place. If you arrive late you might miss out on taking part!
Choose your journey - plan your journey - get there on time
The BRAG programme
The activities fall under these categories: Sports, Outdoor, Health, Art, Streetwise and Wild Card. More details with your BRAG pack.
Be safe. You must travel between stations in groups of between 2 and 6 people.
Read the times and dates of the stations listed in your programme carefully. You will not be able to access these stations at any other time.
Always listen to and follow instructions given by the station organiser. They are given for your own and everyone else's safety.
Giving your BRAG Pass to a friend won't work. Your Pass cannot be used by anyone else under any circumstances.
Who can join?
To take part in BRAG you must live in either Bury or Rochdale Borough and be aged 11-15. That's it! but make sure you apply early - places are limited.
I have special needs, can I still take part?
Wherever possible we aim to ensure that anyone with a disability and/or special needs can participate. Please contact the Co-ordinator if you want to check on specific details or tell us of any special requirements. Parents or carers are always welcome to stay at a session if you need individual support.
What will it cost?
Your BRAG Pack costs just £9. This includes: Free entry into all BRAG Activity Stations. Free bus travel - up to 7pm
What if I get lost, miss my last bus etc?
There is an emergency phone number printed on your BRAG Passport with information about what to do if you get stuck. Call the BRAG Project Co-ordinator. Available between 8.30am and 7pm only.
