We promote a range of different ways in which you can get involved in your local park. These are detailed below.
Volunteering
We need Volunteer Rangers and Junior Rangers to work with our Urban Park Rangers on a wide range of tasks including patrols, minor green-space improvements, organising and running events, helping with gardening clubs and all sorts of activities connected with parks. The role of volunteer is open to a wide range of ages. All volunteers will need to be able to commit to a number of basic duties and will undergo a short induction course to familiarise themselves with the Park Ranger Service.
Friends of Park groups
The members of these groups help to manage our parks by getting involved in future plans, improvements, events, fundraising and solving problems.

Park Watch Scheme
Similar to Neighbourhood Watch Schemes, the Park Watch Scheme aims to protect Bury's parks and improve safety and security.
