A brief introduction to Nuttall Park

Nuttall Park is a large urban community park in Ramsbottom. The park is located 5 miles north of Bury and just 600 meters from Ramsbottom town centre, by foot, 1 mile by road.  Opened in 1928 as a public park it is also linked to the Irwell Sculpture Trail.

Access

You can gain access to Nuttall Park through the main car park at the bottom of Nuttall Hall Road, off Bury New Road, Ramsbottom or by the entrance at Grants Lane and from the Irwell Sculpture Trail.

The park is level in most places with well maintained footways and is, therefore, accessible to people with disabilities and families with push chairs.

You can reach the park from Ramsbottom town centre on foot via Grants Lane (Grants Lane can be fairly uneven in places) or by public transport from Ramsbottom or Bury. There are two main bus routes that pass near to the park - numbers 472, 474.

You can also travel to Ramsbottom at weekends by steam train on the East Lancashire Railway.
