A brief introduction to Manchester Road Park

Manchester Road Park is a small urban local community public park of approximately 2.88 hectares.  The park is located about half a mile from Bury town centre in an area named Redvales. First opened as a public park in 1890, Manchester Road Park is still very popular today.

Access

Access to Manchester Road Park can be gained via the main entrance near the Park Lodge on Manchester Road or via alternative entrances on Wellington Road, Parliament Street and Westgate Avenue.

The park is fairly level throughout with well-maintained footways and is, therefore, accessible to people with disabilities and families with push-chairs.

The main bus routes that pass near to the park are numbers 93, 135, 478, 512, 513 and 524.
