Fairgrounds

Organisations wishing to operate fairground equipment (including inflatable bouncing devices) on Council/Leisure Services' land are required to submit a completed application form, together with proof of public liability insurance and a plan of the layout of equipment, at least 30 days prior to holding an event.

Minimum public liability insurance required for an inflatable bouncing device is £3m and for a fairground ride £5m.

After an application has been approved

Once approval has been granted, the applicant will be required to liaise with Health and Safety Services at Bury Town Hall for an inspection of the site plus inspection of the Declaration of Operational Compliance (DOC) and the Amusement Devices Inspection Procedure Scheme ADIPS) Disc relevant to each ride. 

Please Note:  Rides without a current DOC and ADIPS disc and public liability insurance will not be allowed to operate.
