From time to time we are asked to suggest the names of people willing to undertake genealogical or historical research, as most county and district archive services can only commit a limited time to answering individual enquiries.
The following list represents those people known by district and county archivists to be working in Greater Manchester and the areas they specialise in. There are all self-employed researchers working for a fee; their inclusion in this list should not be taken to imply that they are employed or approved by us, nor can we guarantee the quality of their work or enter into any negotiations between researchers and clients.
