Latest news: Cracking History event at Bury Art Gallery (Thursday 9th September - 6 pm to 9 pm)

It is often said that every object tells a story - well here is your chance to tell us what stories your treasures hold.  The special event is being held at Bury Art Gallery & Museum working in partnership with Bury Libraries & Adult Learning Service.

Crack your way into the world of antiques at this special event and be inspired by watching master craftsmen in action.  Enjoy expert demonstrations of techniques for restoration and refurbishment with an opportunity to ask questions and learn how to look after your own treasures from the professionals to ensure they continue telling their tales into the future.  .

Bring a photograph of an object that is special to you and tell us its story and how you've been inspired by it and how to look after it and test your knowledge in identifying a museum object.

Please note that there will be no opportunity for valuation of objects at this event.

Places for this event are limited and admission is by ticket only.  Tickets cost £5 and are available from Bury Art Gallery, Moss Street, Bury BL9 0DR.  Refreshments will be available.
