Coronation Road Community Centre and Library

Coronation Road Community Centre and Library provides a full library service with internet access and Council Information Point.  In addition it has community rooms and facilities for local groups including IT and interactive whiteboards. Other features include a range of training courses, reading groups, leisure and learning activties for all ages.

Meeting room or function room for hire

Sessions to be run at the centre

Adult Craft group – The Adult Craft Group runs every Friday between 2.30 – 4.30pm. The group undertakes different craft activities each week, with one member of the group taking the lead with one of their favourite craft activities.  A nominal fee is charged to cover the group’s material costs.

Ancestry (Family History) – Sessions run every Wednesday 10.30 – 12.30pm. Please ring to register. Access is free to the 1841 to 1901 UK Census records through the Ancestry library edition (this is only available within Bury Council libraries).

Coronation Clickers - Knit and Natter Group for anyone regardless of age, gender or previous experience. Any beginners will be assisted and refreshments will be provided – Every Tuesday between 10.00 – 12.00pm.

Children’s Activity Group – Every Monday 4.30 to 5.30pm, the children’s activity group hosts reading, crafts and different games for all children between the age of 5 and 15 years old.
Carers Support Group – A group for all carers to come together and meet other carers, offering advise, guidance and support. The first group meets 31st August between 1.00 to 2.30pm.

Reading Group – On the 1st Friday of each month, the reading group meets between 11.00 to 12pm. Refreshments will be supplied.
Photography Group – Digital photography classes for beginners starting Monday 6th September for six weeks, between 1 to 3pm. These sessions include composition, using camera settings, micro photography, photo editing, etc. Register your interest to email address corryphotoclub@aol.co.uk.

Computing one to one sessions – Every Monday 10.30 to 12pm. These 30 minute sessions are held to assist with any computing questions/queries you may have. We will assist with help using Microsoft packages i.e. word, internet and email, how to save and retrieve documents, etc. We will not advice anyone which PC to buy, or help fix technical problems with a home PC.

Story Time – The Story Time sessions will be every Tuesday starting 7th September, between 2.00 to 3.00pm. Between 1.30 and 2.00pm, refreshments and nibbles will be provided prior to the Story Time session beginning. These sessions include a story being read and all children undertaking a related craft activity.

Itea and Biscuits (Introducing technology to  the 50 plus). Week commencing 20th September is Itea and Biscuits week, which targets introducing/assisting people over 50 with any difficulties they have with technology. If you have any difficulties with any technology please contact a member of staff to arrange an appointment to come in and hopefully resolve your queries. This could be via our usual sessions, the photography group, Computing One to One (IT) or even advice using your mobile phone.
