Brandlesholme Community Library

Brandlesholme opened in 2004 following consultation with local people which showed a need for a local library. Local people are actively involved in the library and work with library staff as volunteer library assistants. Since it opened Brandlesholme has continued to grow in popularity and we are looking to develop more services there. Currently open four afternoons a week there is also a thriving weekly group for craft enthusiasts, a monthly young persons craft group, a monthly reading group for adults and regular homework sessions. As well as a good range of books, audio books, videos, DVDs and there is also a toy library. There are two computers with access to the Internet. On each computer there is the full Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word for Windows, Access for databases, Excel spreadsheets etc. Access to computers and the Internet is free of charge so booking in advance is advisable.
