The annual Powersound competition, organised by Bury Venues and Bury Youth Services, offers contestants the opportunity to try out performing live on stage in front of an audience and is open to amateur bands aged 11 to 24 years and amateur singers aged 11 to 21 years.
Tune-up for Powersound 2008
It’s time for bands and singers to get tuned-up and warmed-up for this year's event.
The contest is judged over a number of weeks by a panel of judges. Contestants are required to get through their heats to earn a place in the final and a chance to win cash prizes and win Powersound 2008.
Dates for your diary
Come along and support the singers and musicians at this year’s event. Tickets cost £4.50 and are available in advance from Radcliffe Civic Suite or on the night for £5. For each event, doors will open at 7pm. Competitions will start at 7.30pm and finish around midnight.
