Our Homeless Prevention Officers will give free, impartial, confidential, independent advice, advocacy, help and assistance to members of the public living in the Borough of Bury on the following issues.
- Threat of homelessness.
- Disputes with private landlords.
- Harassment / illegal eviction / notice to leave accommodation.
- Rent and mortgage arrears.
- Basic benefits & debt advice.
- Affordability

We will provide advice and support to prevent homelessness whenever possible.

Drop-in sessions
We operate a sit and wait service to customers on: Monday to Friday between 9am and 12noon
Making an appointment
You will need to make an appointment with us to discuss:
- homeless assessments; and
- referrals to supported accommodation.
Appointments can be made on: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 2pm to 5pm
Home visits are made where applicable.
