Services provided at Pinfold Lane Centre
Pinfold provides places for up to 40 service users per day.
The number of days attended will depend upon the assessed requirements according to service users’ needs and needs of the carer. The number of days could be 1 to 6 per week.
The Centre is open for service users from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday.
At Pinfold a flexible approach is maintained and users may attend for a whole or part of a day. In special circumstances it will be possible to negotiate slightly different hours of attendance.
The services provided for each service user will vary according to the individual assessed need. The following are generally available:
- Provision of nutritional meals and refreshments to include:
Arrival : tea/coffee with toast or teacake;
12 noon : two course lunch with a choice of two main meals and special diets
2.30pm : tea/coffee
3.15pm : Tea e.g. home made soup, sandwiches, sausage rolls
- Drinks and light snacks are available at any time of the day as requested.
We do cater for special dietary needs including:
- Diabetic diets
- Low-fat diets
- Vegetarian diets
- Cultural diets

Transport to and from the Centre is provided when required by 3 twelve seater buses. An escort is always in attendance to assist/supervise service users with a safe journey. Alternatively some carers may prefer to provide their own transport.
Personal Care provision is available including bathing, showering, assisting with toilet, hair and nail care and shaving. A hairdresser and barber are available as requested by service user or carer.

Hairdressing Salon
We have a hairdressing salon, which is equipped and furnished as appropriate. The hairdresser attends on Monday Wednesday and Thursday between 10am and 3pm. The barber is available as requested.

- Cut & Set £9.50
- Wash & set £5.00
- Perms from £19.00
- Barber £4.00

Personal Care

- Advice on personal care
In addition to the above a monthly information and support meeting is arranged for carers.
