Recruitment
All staff are recruited according to Bury Metropolitan Borough Council’s Recruitment and Selection Policy.
All staff are checked with the Criminal Records Bureau before they can start working at the centre and every 3 years whilst working at the centre.
All staff are taken through the General Care Standards Induction programme ‘Skills for Care’ prior to working unsupervised at the centre.
Training
Care staff are trained in:
- Moving and Handling
- Use of Lifting Equipment and aids
- Basic First Aid
- Infection control
- Basic Food Hygiene
Catering staff are trained in:
- Infection control
- Basic Food Hygiene
Management staff are trained in:
- Medication Administration
- Risk Assessment
