Bury Employment, Support and Training (EST) provide a recruitment service for Bury residents who find it difficult to get or keep a job due to a disability. Bury EST also offer advice, support and practical assistance to local and regional employers who aim to diversify their workforce and offer equal opportunity recruitment. The service was established in 1994 and has now supported hundreds of people into paid work.
Work experience
Bury EST has also supported hundreds of clients into work experience placements. This service is extremely valuable as it gives clients the opportunity to learn more about the world of work whilst developing their vocational skills.
Drop in service
Bury EST has a drop in service for general advice and guidance and this takes place at their offices at Ribchester Drive every Tuesday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm. Everyone is welcome to use this service for general advice and guidance. Trained staff are on hand to point you to the most appropriate service and can offer suggestions about finding suitable work and improving employability.
