Teachernet - for information about extended schools and other education issues.
Training and Development Agency for Schools - access to a range of information with remodelling in schools, extended schools and general workforce and change issues within schools.
Every Child Matters - Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) website containing a wide range of resources relating to the Every Child Matters: Change for Children agenda.
SureStart - information relating to early years issues and children's centres as part of the SureStart initiative.
4Children - a national charity dedicated to creating opportunities and building futures for children. It was formaly known as Kids Clubs Network.
ContinYou - a charity supporting the implementation of the extended schools agenda.
Daycare Trust - a national charity, promoting high quality affordable childcare for all. The site contains useful information on childcare.
Governornet - a DCSF site for governors. It contains key information and links useful to governors.
Working with the voluntary and community sector. This is a section of the IDEA website that aims to help those who work in local government to better understand and engage with the voluntary and community sector.
- Play Matters -
National Association of Toy and Leisure Libraries. A useful resource for play and fun activities for children and young people that can be delivered as part of the extended services agenda. Advice on setting up a games club and a number of FREE seminars are accessible through the website.

- Bury Children & Young People's Information Service - Provides information on local childcare, activities and family support services available to children and young people (0 to 19 years and to include disabled young people up to 25 years) their families, carers and those working to support local families and also includes the Bury Service Directory (Bury Community Contacts) - information about services available to children, young people, families and local communities within Bury.
- Schools Development & Training - Located at Seedfield Development and Training centre, it provides a range of training opportunities for staff associated with schools and early years settings.
