Children's Centres

What are Children's Centres?

Children's Centres provide a Link to external websitecore offer of services and are a focal point within each community for parents and carers of children up to age five. They pull together everything families need - from midwives, health visitors and early years provision (integrated daycare and early learning) to parenting support, skills training and help to find employment.

They perform outreach work to those in the community who are most isolated. They also offer a base for childminder networks and links to other daycare provision, out-of-school clubs and extended schools.
