The Bury family placement team is a group of experienced, professional staff who aim to offer the highest quality fostering service to local children by providing high quality foster placements.
Many of our foster carers have been fostering for us for over 10 years and we can confidently say that we can offer a great deal of experience and skills to new foster carers.
Our foster carers receive thorough preparation, support and training. As a carer we will give you practical help and a weekly allowance in recognition of the work that you do. Foster carers are valuable members of the team, working in partnership with us and their foster child's own family, to promote the best interests of the child or young person.
There are different types of fostering for you to consider, whatever your circumstances – whether you are married, single, divorced, working or not, have grown up children already or none at all.
We hope that this information will give you a better idea of what you can expect if you do take on this challenging but rewarding task and that it will help you decide whether it is something you could do.
If you would like to take your enquiry further please complete the form which is included in the information pack to indicate that you would like a member of the Team to visit you at home. We will be happy to hear from you:-
