This scheme offers regular short planned breaks to disabled children and young people for up to 28 days a year. Some children will be mobile and others will be wheelchair users.
This type of care is usually offered at the weekend and may appeal to people who have limited time to offer.
By welcoming a child into their home, the carer can give a child new experiences in a safe, homely environment and give the family a break from caring.
