Roles and tasks of Social Work in England

Date: Monday 4 June 2007.

Venue: Elizabethan Suite, Bury Town Hall.

The Department of Health and Department for Education and Skills have commissioned the General Social Care Council (GSCC) to produce a statement describing the roles and tasks of Social Work in England. This statement was circulated to Social Workers and service users and carers groups for their comments and were also invited to attend a consultation event to have their say about this statement. All comments from this event were  collated and formed Bury MBC's response to the statement. Bury's response was sent on Tue 12th June 2007.

Comments from the consultation event

Age of Opportunities Consultation of Services for people aged 50 plus

Date: Tuesday 6 February 2007.

Venue: Elizabethan Suite, Bury Town Hall.

At the launch of Age of Opportunities, the public, partner organisations and staff were invited to comment on services available for people aged 50 and over living in Bury. These comment have been used to inform the services provided by the Age of Opportunities Programme.
