Disabilities

The council's services to people with disabilities aim to offer a consistent, high quality and cost effective service, which is planned and delivered with the involvement of service users and carers, to promote the maximum independence and social inclusion within their lives.

We provide, in partnership with health services, a range of aids to daily living, such as hand rails etc. to support people to live more independently in their own homes.

Our day services can help people regain the skills and confidence they need to live independently. Our employment placement service gives people support to find and keep a job.

Further pages give more detailed information and contacts regarding the services provided for different kinds of disability, by Bury council.
