This section of our web site provides information about the Rubbish, Waste and Recycling Service.

The Service collects from around 80,000 properties per week.  We provide grey wheelie bins for the collection of normal household rubbish, a blue bin for recycling plastic bottles, glass bottles and metal cans and tins. a brown bin for garden waste and a green bag for paper and cardboard recycling. 

Frequency of collections

  • We will collect your grey bin once a week.
  • We will collect your green bag once every two weeks.
  • We will collect your blue bin once every four weeks.
  • We will collect your brown bin once every two weeks in spring to autumn and every four weeks in winter.
