Over 30 mini recycling sites are already in place across the Borough.
50,000 of Bury households now have brown bins for garden waste which is collected every 2 weeks.
75,000 households have a blue bin for the collection of glass bottles, jars, cans and plastic bottles. This container is collected four-weekly or fortnightly on the same day as garden waste and paper. This is referred to as recycling week. The collection of the existing grey/green bins is currently taking place on a weekly basis.
78,000 households have a green bag for recyling paper, cardboard, directories, junk mail and magazines.
