Always buy recycled
When shopping, keep an eye out for products that contain recycled materials. You can buy recycled bin bags, toilet tissues and note pads, as well as more interesting products such as pencil cases made from old tyres and fleeces made from plastic bottles.
Shop wisely
Purchase items in bulk and aim to buy refills or items with the minimum of packaging.
Support a good cause
Local Charities, Youth Groups and Schools can all make use of many items if they are in good condition.
Re-use your waste
Try to think of an alternative use for items before throwing them away.

Many materials can be used by playgroups or schools to make models, collages, etc
As an alterantive to disposable nappies, consider using towelling nappies or a nappy laundering service.
