Major plans for redevelopment are underway in Bury Town Centre. Home to the Mill Gate shopping centre and the award winning Bury Market, the town centre is set to double its retail space over the next two years with the exciting development of The Rock, a major mixed-use redevelopment scheme. As well, work is due to commence later in 2007 on developments at Townside and Chamberhall Business Park. Townside will include new health facilities plus office and parking provision. Chamberhall Busines Park will provide high quality office/business, hotel and leisure facilities.

Mill Gate Shopping Centre Consultation on future plans
The owners of the Mill Gate shopping centre have commenced consultation on the future of the centre and are inviting all members of the public and key town centre stakeholders to take an active role in this process. The document is out for consultation for 6 weeks from 29th November.
