Town Centre Retail Capacity Study - Executive Summary
Drivers Jonas was initially instructed in 2001 by Bury MBC to undertake a retail study of Bury, Prestwich, Radcliffe and Ramsbottom town centres. The original data was first updated in 2003 and more recently in 2007 to produce the Bury Retail Study Update 2007. The 2007 report provides specialist background analysis on the latest data to aid the Unitary Development Plan Review process and to assist consideration of retail planning applications. As part of the instruction, a telephone survey of 1,000 households was conducted in and around the study area. Local Agents active in the local commercial market were also consulted.
