Consultation Period
A report was taken to our Executive Committee on 10 January 2007 to approve draft SPD11 following a six week period of public consultation from 23 January 2007 to 6 March 2007.
Parking standards contained within the Unitary Development Plan are now out of date due to the publication of Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)13, which deals with transport, and also at the local level, the Second Greater Manchester Transport Plan. SPD11 takes on board the advice and standards contained within both of these documents. More recent published guidance has informed the content of this guidance note. The note includes advice and standards that can be applied at a local level, as well as detailed guidance on the design and layout of parking areas, ensuring that parking areas are user friendly and accessible by all.
