The Government is currently working with schools and colleges to provide more choice and more opportunities for pupils and students after they reach the age of 14 years. The aim is to enable students to choose a programme which bests suits their interests, talents and hopes for the future. For some students this will be a traditional academic route, for others it will be a more work based approach and for many it will be a combination of both.
