The Local Authority is required under Section 52 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1988 to publish and make accessible the budget statement for inspection.
The Schools Budget Summary Table (11kb 1 page pdf) - provides an account of the main sources of funding available to LA's for their schools and any additional funding provided by the LA.
Table 1 (29kb 6 page pdf) – this is split into two main categories, the Schools Budget and the LEA budget. These are further sub-divided to provide the spending plans of those activities outside schools' delegated budgets.
In addition, there are two annexes to this table. The first one demonstrates how the 'Central Expenditure Limit (14kb 2 page pdf) was calculated. It should be noted that this was subject to statutory approval by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF). The second Annex shows an analysis of staffing and non-staffing costs for the Youth Service (10kb 1 page pdf).
Table 2 (Mainstream) 52kb 12 page pdf) – this summarises the main formula funding elements and lists the budget share and the per pupil or place share in each nursery, primary school and secondary school.

Table 3a (75kb 15 page pdf) – this shows, in detail, how the formula has been applied to each mainstream school to calculate its budget share, including all the relevant factors and lump sums and the number of pupils in each school year used to allocate pupil-led funding.
